That is a point, if you don't follow price and volume and ignore the externals you can miss a 37.7% move like last 3 days. How long would MSFT/dell/ibm/etc. take to return that? when this rally fails, it can go back to levels you stated or even make new lows. The volume, I assume is people wanting to make money.

Well it finally made the 2 3/4-3 range. This should be a splendid buying opportunity(ha ha) for the short term. It's hovering very near the short term trend lines. It will be interesting to see how it behaves after this drop. I will make a proooofound prediction that this bugger will go above 4(4-5) and go into higher territory when the market comes back-assuming the market does not drop, drop, drop, and drop. Anyway, the silence here is spooking me out. No noise means no news. Good luck to all of us!
