Hey MiB, it's really not because I'm great at timing markets. It's just that I get scared when stocks climb so quickly. But I am always covered, because I always have a core holding that I simply don't touch unless fundamentals change. Then I play with a few shares on the ups and downs. In RMBS's case, I kept buying all the way down to $36, so when it popped, I unloaded all my non-core RMBS @ $58 and made a good bit of money. I've made enough money on RMBS's up and downs that I could take a huge hit to my current shares and still be in the black. My core will be with me for the duration, though. Really, everyone should just do what Buffet says and what you do, just buy and hold. Good luck to you!
