Wade, I agree with your analysis. The "real" price of FSTW is over $5, the decline has been on very low volume and any sort of buying will instantly kick it up. Most shares are in strong hands, very little float.

FSTW has now established the potential of NetGain, the product really is a technological leap. But the next question is: "Does FSTW have the ability to execute and market, having the product is only half the battle?" My bet is that Doug and crew will execute, but the analysts and funds are waiting to see proof of that. The key item they are watching is not profits, but year over year revenue growth. They must demonstrate revenue growth for the stock price to take off.

Of course the other possibility is a buyout for a competitor to get the technology. But the company is not looking to sell and I know of no action in this area.

Well Ramey I may be sitting on the fence but the pole is made of FSTW stock and it's been hurting for a while now. I prefer to see SI used for some solid analysis and debate rather than hyping a stock I'm long....hence my FSTW comments alternate between pro and con and I look like I'm sitting on the fence. I think you'll make some dough on your FSTW purchase, though I think you'd have been better to wait a little while longer as this is still dead money for another quarter or two, or three. Netgain looks good but won't hit the bottom line substantially until Q4, in the interim there's a boat anchor called TakeControl that alternates between keeping the company afloat and pulling it under.

Welcome to the thread as it's nice to have a professorial type on board. From your email address it looks like you're a math professor? Hopefully so as we could use a little quantitative analysis around here. From the Big 10 as well, or is it 11 now?....maybe you ought to have a quickie remedial math course for all the Big 10 athletic directors.

...and Shege, who yawns at any good news and rhapsodizes over any shortcoming...

What good news? All I've seen is a bunch of hype on this thread, and a steady stream of content-free press releases from the company. If/when I hear good news from an investment perspective (sustained revenue and earnings growth) perhaps I'll stop yawning.

BTW, it is not in my nature to rhapsodize.

Wade, why don't you post at the Bierstube? <g>

Wade, this company looks interesting. Why don't you post one of your fine analyses of the company over at Doc Stone's Bierstube? You've hurt my feelings! Or maybe you are still working on the draft, you want it to be perfect. Yeah, that's it! <g>
