Brasil, usually the team with the most talented
players, can sometimes lack the discipline to play a structured
team game.

For a Brasilian (or Latin American), "structure" creates fear in their soul.... it constraints creativity...

What Brasil should have done is put serious pressure from the start score early and never let go, (taking care that no injuries would take place)... No excuse for the defeat, (humiliating one indeed), however, do consider that Brasil had already qualified.

Not to mention the thief... excuse me the referee.

Tomorrow.... France / Denmark... will not be a "walk in park".
Looking forward to some more good soccer.

Didn't I say earlier today Brazil and France have not really been
tested?... until today. Tomorrow, it is France's turn.

hmmmm The test was somehow "tainted" by a moron (which by the way he takes Moron nomination with honors at the Thread Morons)...

Tomorrow..... I predict a French victory ... France 2 x 1 Denmark

We shall see.

By the way, everyone here has taken a "shot at predicting the first four places in the cup.

There will be a chance for "revisions" at the end of the first phase, so you are welcome to give us your prediction for the first four.

In addition, some of us give score predictions (except Victor, who takes more of a "big picture" approach).

So for the next matches here are mine:

France 2 x 1 Denmark

Spain 2 x 0 Bulgaria

Saudi Arabia 1 x 1 South Africa

Nigeria 1 x 2 Paraguay (a little wishful thinking here)

More good soccer indeed!

Z.
