Gateway is moving its headquarter to San Diego. I can think of a few companies that started its decline after they build a new headquarter. Borland (now Inprise) is one, for example.

In addition to moving the command center out of the country side, GTW is going to get into opening retail stores. Precisely when people are getting out of the retail and getting into the web.

Any thoughts on how this GTW will do going against lean-mean-efficient Dell and giant CPQ? I get the feeling that GTW has seen better days. What are your thoughts?
