When I read the article on Riva TnT I noticed that the Riva card was using 16 meg of ram vs. VooDoo II using 12 meg. I would think that a large part of the performance advantage is due to the extra ram. Also, even with the extra ram, the Riva card barely edged out the VooDoo II on the WinBench 3D test. That in itself is pretty sad. It will be interesting to see what the final performance numbers look like once cards finally start shipping. Somehow I think that once out in the real world there won't be much of a performance advantage over VooDoo II, and TnT will offer the added advantage of not being compatible with as many games as the VooDoo based cards are. Gee, I guess Riva has a real big winner here, eh? Will there be a Riva SLI setup option?

Regards.

P.S. By the time TnT based boards start shipping I hope to see TDFX start publishing the first specs for VooDoo 3. Them that giveth getteth....
