I use a variation I learned from a trader in Florida. Purely intraday. I subscribed to Wilder's stuff around 1983 but never did much with it, it ran on an Apple ][ and was difficult to decipher.

I bought the book about 7 years ago, but did nothing with it, either. I picked up right away, perhaps because of my prior experience, when the trader in Palm Beach showed it to me and I've been using it with some success since February 1997.

The important thing I've found is to decide when it's just flat out wrong, and go to other signals. I just use it for the spoo.

I've had some incredible days with it, I must say. Again, if it's wrong you have to pack your bags quick.

I know a few traders on the R/T list that use it....and for several markets. But I don't correspond with them much. I don't correspond with Wilder at all. I just use it in my own fashion and don't rely on input from others except to see where they think the patterns are.

I'm just comfortable with it the way I see it.
