Interesting to hear about your boys, indeed they are not only true Soccer fans, but smart ones too!! As for me, I will only mention that the mixture goes along the following recipe: Mexican, Spanish, Irish, Hungarian, French.... and now a pinch of American, it makes an interesting "soup". (in addition to "outside influences" by Canadian, English, and German Swiss, by spending relevant, or substantial time in those countries.) Luckily the combination of Latin and Irish temperament has been "mellowed by time".... as in wine, aging does have a positive effect... (the good wines that is). I won't go into details but more or less is a combination of the United Nations and a World Cup tournament.... Soccer past age 35 ? hmmmm I remember the clashes (when I was in my teens and twenties), people bigger than I would bounce off me.... no worries, they were the ones getting hurt. Then when going for balls and would end up on the ground, no big deal get up and go, next morning, put on the mentholatum and ready for the next game. I played at a later time, all of a sudden there was a time lag between the brain recognizing what needed to be done, issuing the order to the specific leg, and the actual execution by the leg... Then the falls ..... all of a sudden a fall was a real event, and getting up was not as it used to be.... oh well... after all, there may be some fun in playing during a Geriatric Soccer Championship of some sort.... When I was younger the injuries were all minor and easily cured, however, injuries at a later time have been more serious and so has been the recoup time.... more and more, golf is looking as though is a more viable option.
