I placed a sell-limit order at 54 1/4 on a stock last night that had closed at 53 7/8. The stock opened today at 54 5/8 and subsequently went up. My broker executed the order at 54 1/4.

How is it possible that my sell order was executed below the open price? Would someone please help. Should I change brokers? Thanks

Brian

Over at Silicon Investor, there is a terrific thread
It is a terrific thread. I don't do day trading, but keep checking this and Steve's thread every day. Learned a lot and avoided many costly mistakes.
Congratulations to Irby - the founder and housekeepr, to all major contributors who made this thread terrific.
