I, also have been in the red since the day I bought at 34+, but I sincerely believe wall st is too short sighted about cpq and unfair to it. Time will tell. Time WILL tell. I also bought a thousand shares at 34. But that was in 1994. It went through a period similar to this one, went up fifteen points, fell back again, stayed in the same range for a LONG time. Then it started to move. Split five times. Now I am up over $100,000. Patience will win out. THis company has GREAT management that know what they are doing. JB p.s My broker/salesman has been trying to get me to sell for months now, to "diversify". I am waiting, and will have the last laugh... p.p.s I've also been patient with AAPL and RMBS.
