drsvelte,

I'm familiar with SCTR. I agree with Bill Wexler on this one.

Two thing I find uncomfortable with this stock is:
1. The huge (getting raped by the MM) spread. The spread at the close is 1/4, but all day long the spread was one point or more. OUCH!
2) the volatility. High for the day was over $3 above open. I find that I do better shorting broken stocks like PNDA or CFON or stuff like that, rather than high flyers. The last high flyer I shorted was BAANF, which doubled on me until I started covering. I'm still recovering from my losses in BAANF.

Anyway, SCTR is on my watch list, but I will not take a position until is starts trading down with a established trend. If you like broken stock, check out KMAG. I took a small short position today at $6 to hold my interest while I do some due diligence. I suspect there will be more bad new to come.

Dr. Svelte: What does "a short on SCTR" mean or have to do with ZONA? If it has nothing to do with ZONA (as appears to be the case) can you take it private?
