Bob - Fundamentals got nothin' to do with AMZN anymore. Haven't for some time. When and if they do, it will crash. I'm betting it will crash this year, but probably not down to a level supported by fundamentals. AMZN has a life of its own, it's the favorite momo stock, and the higher and faster it goes, the further it will crash. I wish I knew the date and time. :-)

Bob,

AMZN is only 18% or $ 17 from the combine market cap of Borders & Books and Barnes & Noble. B&N has already recorded $ 100M in online sales compared to AMZN's $ 219M.

It appears this rally may be the fund managers investing their cash before the Q end statements go out. Wouldn't want Ma & Pa Mutual Fund not fully invested.

Thanks for sharing your provocative analysis, Bob.

Don't know if this story has made this list before, but puportedly Warren Buffet was asked about the internet stocks and he said "If I were teaching a class in investing, the final exam would have one question: 'Describe an evaluation model for the internet stocks' -- and anybody who answered it would fail."
