<<<AMZN is approaching 2X the market value of BKS>>>

Why would you compare a stock which is valued on fundamentals (BKS) to a concept stock which is disconnected from fundamentals (AMZN)?

I don't think there is anybody left on the thread who does not appreciate that fundamental analysis cannot support the market valuation of this company.

I suppose we will get dire warnings when the price approaches 3X BKS also (if this happens--I'm not pretending to have a clue).

So far, AMZN seems to be selecting products which uniquely benefit from the internet, or which might have some inherent advantage over land-based competitors. For books its huge selection. For music it is the audio clips, and again the huge selection. For movies it would be selection alone (Who buys movies anyway? Except for my young kids, who can stand to watch a movie twice?).

I wonder what will follow video sales.....Anybody have any good guesses? Would it be computer software, vitamins/nutritional supplements, airline tickets/hotel rooms?

If we could come up with additional promising ventures, we might be able to get a sense of the ultimate size and scope of AMZN, the etailer. Then we could make guesses about ultimate potential market cap.

Also, who thinks they know what is coming next: a stock split, or a secondary offering, and why?

Just wondering,
Tom D

Brian, I agree with you 100%. I looked at this stock two weeks ago and I knew if I got in it would go down. For now it went up and the difference is unexplainable. If I stay out the bulls will remain into the for-runner of the mith. We do not pretend to be able to be like Mike. Its not the normal thing against the thread of SI. Can this be the time to get in or short like the FOOL did. Who am I to out-guess this situation. The difference is, as I said unexplainable. Ribit Kadap and to all of the profit takers Kazoo in the major Whammy. Sadat BIG TIME
