I oohed and aahed over the pictures-I had no idea that htere were so many different types of hummingbirds. THe cutest was the "Ruby-throated one with pollen on his head". That was so cute---like a picture of a toddler with chocolate smeared around his mouth.

Then I went to the next URL and my heart stopped. Oh no! I thought you'd been into Janice's cookbooks!!! With great trepidation I scanned the list of ingredients. Thank God. No hearts of hummingbird or crushed hummingbird beak.
So now I'm wondering why they call it Hummingbird Cake?
I wonder if we drove near your ranch when we were out there....
