Jan, re: Cisco and Lucent Tech.

I was thinking that picking stocks could be similar to picking men. Stocks like csco and lu are stable consistent providers that don't bounce around a lot yet give you excellent price appreciation. These stocks(men) are not that hard to find, yet a lot of people don't choose them.

Then you have a stock like Rambus, this stock gives you a wild ride but you have to know when to get on and off the Harley. And "he" may or may not be around in two years.

Then you have the rest of the stocks(men) which are the majority, these stocks range from outright ripoffs(abusers) to excellent lesser known issues(someone's good hubby).

Has it really been that hard to spot Cisco as a good investment, or Microsoft? Is it really that hard to identify a good man? Maybe woman need Point & Figure charting for the analysis of men!
