Barney, The National Soft Drink Association protested Aspartame in 1983, it's in the Congressional Record, but then they heard the cash registers ring and jumped on the Brinks wagon. I hope you'll take the 60 day no-aspartame test. We've meet so many people in such pathetic straits; think they're dying, women can't get pregnant, Depression, Vision loss, weight gain, etc. faux MS, seizures, tumors, it's incredible. Please protect yourself and your family by getting all the facts. Then share what you know to save other lives. If 10 people in a room are heavy users of aspartame/Diet Coke/NutraSweet 6 of them will have several symptoms. It's progressive and addictive. We have nothing to sell, are not promoters, have never used the poison ourselves; but from her medical background Betty learned of the epidemic and made it her objective to save lives. When I tell her to slow down she responds "I can't just let them die, the little children ... then the phone will ring with another emergency." She has helped more people than anyone I've ever known. When she had her clinics she treated the indigent without cost. We consider it applied Christianity. All Praise be to God! Money and preachers: "What then is my reward? That while declaring the good news I may furnish the good news without cost, to the end that I may not abuse my authority in the good news. For I am free from all persons. I have made myself the slave to all, that I may gain the most persons." 1 Cor 9:18 "I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel. Ye yourselves know that these hands ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me ... I gave you an example, that so laboring ye ought to help the weak and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:33-5 AMEN! Paul made tents, I made soap, but the ministry has been my life. And Jehovah has filled my hands with more than I could have imagined, in every way. Barney: Why did the NASV take Jehovah's Name from His book? You asked my feelings about translations: I bought the last three of 1901 American Standard Version from Zondervan's Grand Rapids store in 1957. In April I had the last one re-covered again a second time. It says: "They think to cause my people to forget my name ... behold, I am against the prophets, saith Jehovah" Jeremiah 23:27 "they that feared Jehovah spake one with another; and Jehovah hearkened, and a book of remembrance was written before him, for them that feared Jehovah, and that thought upon his name." Mal 3:16 "That men may know that thou, who's name alone is Jehovah, art the Most High God over all the earth." Psalm 83:18 "Behold, the name of Jehovah cometh from far, burning with his anger,in thick rising smoke: his lips are full of indignation and his tongue is as a devouring fire." Isaiah 30:27 "I will set him on high because he has known my name." "Hallowed be thy name. Matt 6:10 Exodus 34:6: "And Jehovah descended in the cloud, and proclaimed the name of Jehovah. And Jehovah passed by before [Moses], and proclaimed, Jehovah, Jehovah. A God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth." Here are some translations which honor Jehovah: 1. Rotherham's Emphasized Bible: Yahweh 2. Catholic Jerusalem Bible: Yahweh 3. New World Translation: Jehovah 4. Byingtons: Bible in Living English: Jehovah 5. American Standard Verson, 1901: Jehovah The Watchtower publishes #3 and has acquired the rights to print numbers 4 and 5. They also print the Greek Interlinear DIAGLOTT by Benjamin Wilson. based on Vatican Manuscript 1209 It's a valuable tool, but since it is the Greek Scriptures only I don't think It has God's Name. I have a low opinion of any translation that strips Jehovah's Name from his own book, as did the NASV and RSV. May the Name of Jehovah protect you, Barney
