You make a very good point about presentation graphics as a mini-killer application for mobile computers.

I'm trying hard to see your vision of where 3D fits into this.

I have worked with Lightwave, Poser, 3DSMax, trueSpace and although I have occasionally thought about certain interesting and meaningful methods of presentation that would benefit from rendered animation there won't be any mass market applications coming from this neighborhood. If you haven't worked in 3D modeling/animation you just don't realize the amount of specialized labor that goes into creating even a simple animation.

Where a mass market utilization of rendering power might POSSIBLY POSSIBLY come from is the grafting of glitzy pre-fab effects and transitions into presentations, kind of like Adobe After-Effects in realtime for those who are familiar with what that package does.

As for time frame: not this year. POSSIBLY late next year.
