I'm sorry Hiram, I respect your opinion but right now all I have to say is: WOOHOOOO!!!! Seriously though, TCI badly needed something like this to help with debt management and cash for upgrades. I do have confidence in Leo Hindery while Malone appears to be better at deal-making. I can understand your frustration as an owner of HLIT which, incidently I think benefits from this merger. The faster the upgrades the more fiber is needed the more business for HLIT (right?). There is plenty to be concerned about going forward (will egos sink the deal, will the gov't stop the merger..) but right now this appears good for all involved. As for a bidding war I am not holding my breath. In addition to the stock is the assumption of debt and I just don't know who else would be willing to step to the plate (I'm open to good ideas though!)
