I did rename the files that QP updates before creating my templates. The reason I did this was because when I looked at them is MS the NASD Advancing Volume or NASD Advancing Issues etc. would just have the name "NASD" and I would have to switch to symbol view to determine what I wanted to open. This might be what's causing the problem (renaming the files). Try not renaming them, but identifying them by right-clicking on them in the Metastock Open window and going to properties. This may be an awkward solution, I know, but it's better than duct tape. Brooke
