This is my take on the call... Charles S. did a good job... answered questions about PAIR's business... said PAIR was right down the pipeline of the future... xDSL, adding more residential lines, etc. etc... When asked about aquisition candidates he said PAIR was not really interested in buying a company. Then he added that if the right deal came along, PAIR would not be unwilling to be a takeover target itself. There's a very distinct difference there... basically PAIR is not going shopping, but it could be on someone's shopping list. I gather that either, 1- there is no takeover negotiations with other companies... or 2- if there are, he didn't want to let the world know quite yet. He said very importantly that he wanted to look after the interests of the shareholders! Which in my view is quite nice since I've never heard that from PAIR... Sit back and relax folks. Jp
