Dick- Thinking of the Big Orange Moose (30') and 10 Point Buck (25')?

Why so many hokey giant animal statues? Too much time and beer, I guess. Ever been to Dinosaur, Colorado? The only building WITHOUT a big dinosaur is the gas station!

Bell Atlantic Statement on Proposed AT&T-TCI Merger
NEW YORK, June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Bell Atlantic today issued the following statement:

Customers want Bell Atlantic to provide a full bundle of services -- local and long distance voice, data, Internet and video -- and we've been putting the facilities and arrangements in place to offer such packages in 1999.

All we need is regulatory approval to offer long distance voice and data. This deal should be a wake-up call that markets are open for facilities-based competition, and all of the long distance companies' foot-dragging on interconnection agreements and resale rates is a sham and a delaying tactic. Today's announcement should make it clear to our 14 local and state commissions, the FCC and the DOJ that Bell Atlantic should be in long distance today.
