Steve-

How does THQ keep the talent?

Stock options! Options, options, options!

Also, the company has to be a pleasant place to work, with good benefits and growth potential. And there's the employment contracts too. Expanding too rapidly can backfire, but the key to success is maintaining low overhead. THQ has the highest sales/employee figure in the industry, followed by ERTS and MWY. Is it a wonder why these 3 companies are the most profitable? And look at GTIS, AKLM and BROD who each have hundreds of employees. They can't make a consistent profit. If THQ is going to acquire small developers, they have to be certain that the employees' productivity will justify their salaries.
