You haven't been teaching the Bible but Jehovah's Witness concept of the Bible.

Jesus is the divine Son of God who died for the sins of mankind. Through faith in Jesus a man is Born Again and becomes a Son of God. JWs do not believe these simple cornerstone truths of the Christian Faith.
I do find JWs to be very nice and committed people but not Christians.
