Lisa...those 208 BC's were a record. After seeing the data for a while you'll be able to tell, but it really depends on how the market itself is going. In an average week you can have 40-60 BC's and 3-20 SC's. BC's and SC's are also most useful in helping to discern groups that are topping or bottoming out. In Sept/Oct many, many oil service stocks had BC's while I recently wrote about 4 tobacco stocks that had SC's all in the same week. As with most of the p&f indicators, it's reversals from the extremes that are a call for action.
