MB, I think it was just a scam, but then I'm biased because I made the mistake of being short AOL for a while and losing a lot of money. (I'm never shorting again, should have learned my lesson.) Of course after today, who really knows if it was a scam or not. If AT&T was willing to pay with overpriced stock, who knows what they might have offered. Everyone seems to take it as fact that AT&T was interested though, which is odd.
