Company Press Release

First GSM Phase 2 + Mobile Phone, England-to- Australia,
Pay-Per-Play, Smart-Card-Wagering Transaction
Successfully Completed

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 24, 1998--Newcom Technologies Pty Ltd. (Australia) from the
Dorchester Hotel, London, at the MOBILE COMMERCE '98 conference, has successfully sent a
pay-per-play, $100 smart-card bet to CentreBet, an Australian International sports book operator.

The wagering transaction was authenticated by ET&T.

ET&T received this transaction from Newcom's Funge Proprietary Platform for GSM Phase 2 +
mobile phones and passed on the completed transaction to Betting Inc. (OTC/BB:BETT), which then
successfully alerted CentreBet that the transaction had occurred.

Acknowledgment of this wager was sent back from CentreBet to Betting Inc. and ET&T.

ET&T commanded a nearby fax machine to print out the receipt.

The implication of this pay-per-play transaction is that gaming operators could be closing down sports
accounts and overheads to accept pay-per-play wagering instead.
