ALSC today announced that William Caparelli, senior vice president, Sales, will be leaving the company to pursue other interests.

''We are certainly disappointed to see Bill leave at this time but wish him the best of luck in the
future,'' stated N. Damodar Reddy, the company's chairman, president and chief executive officer.
''Bill leaves behind a strong sales organization and we look for them to lead the sales efforts.''

Now what!!!!!!!!

sellonrumor & all

the last 2 month have been very painfull. CFO is gone, today the VP of sales; no big deal. Lam Research Announced today Reduction in Work Force(25%) and Corporate Restructuring. This will happen to ALSC. I believe we will hear about this by earning release the week of July 13, 1998. ALSC need no cut cost and from the Earnings Shortfall release "take a number of short and long term corrective steps to improve shareholder value. Alliance is positioning itself to reduce its exposure to DRAM and commodity memory products. These changes, however, will likely take the balance of this calendar year. Pricing visibility is expected to remain limited until then.".

People are resigning now instead of being fired later. ALSC MAY stay weak till the end of this month, which is also the end of the quarter, meaning window dressing.

ALSC with almost no debt, enough cash to survive, $5 book value, $5-8 value in investments (Fab), is an excellent value here, specially that DRAM has started to rise, and SRAM prices are healthy.

The KEY to ALSC now is DRAM pricing. ALSC is also a good take-over candidate.

Finally, If ALSC remained weak by year end, I will dump all my position and take a tax loss. I will hold till then.

My 2 cents..
