I ran the tests again with just common issues. QP1 had 7,898 hits and QP2 had 7,924. 7,731 symbols matched.

There were 99 symbols with volume greater than zero where either the open, high, low or close did not match.

In QP2, BBY is not split adjusted. Does QP2 adjust for splits?

MS 6.5 and QP not the same?
I was wondering if anyone have differences between the RSI and Stochastics that calculate MS6.5 and QP, I checked that giving the same parameters to both programs the RSI and Stochs are not the same in one and another.
Is just me or anything common ?

Thanks,
Marco

>> You will find quite a few discrepancies between r1 and r2 << This is a very true statement as a number of features in r1 can no longer be found in r2.

eg. ASCII output file name is no longer ended with .CSV. They end with a bunch of underscores and "CSV"; this is annoying when you have some other application that would only see file with extension .CSV. Especially when I expect R2 should contain all of r1 features; is this what an software upgrade is? Also R2 is no longer append datas to existing ASCII files anymore, this is another drawback for R2.

Quirk running profile in QP2?

Gary (or anyone),
Running QP2 under NT and finding this problem: Have 2 scans which I want to run in succession. First reads list of stocks and selects sublist to be read in next scan. When I run separately everything OK but when I put them in profile and run, sublist in second run seems to get truncated. If list is short, then doesn't get any records at all.
Some kind of file/buffer problem? BTW QP2 is great!

Also...new to SI posting...how do I just post a general question to a board without responding to a particular person? Thanks.

-Glen

Gary,
Minor annoyance when outputting a list to a real MS directory the software gives invalid path message if the directory wasn't already defined..On the same topic when you issue that message when auto updating MS, after the daily download and an invalid path is detected, your little window that says invalid path overlays the path name that you were attempting to output to..makes problem determination a little more difficult..
dick.

Gary, on June 15, I mentioned in a note to you that the symbol INPR was missing from the qp2 database. As of last night, this omission still hadn't been fixed. Given that you have a million things to do in running your company, could you get one of your technical people to start monitoring this thread so that anyone with a data issue can send him/her a note? The quality of data seems to be more of a concern now since you switched data providers.

Thanks. Jan
