Jim, your Post # 2564 brings to light some good concepts and thoughts. I would like to point out just one thing beyond the comparison of FNTN to resemble Data Broadcasting Corp. That point is the Financial Internet, Inc. makes the following assertions in laying out their business plan to the public. The area of additional possible business or clients FNTN plans to address are in all capital letters in the quote below.

"Financial Intranet is in the process of establishing the nation's first, proprietary, secured on demand, interactive high-speed video, voice and dedicated data-stream Information Network, that will enable enhanced links to be created between the Brokerage and Mutual Fund Industries and allow interactive access by the individual investor. THE PROPRIETARY NETWORK IS CUSTOMIZABLE FOR ANY APPLICATION, GROUP, FRANCHISE OR ASSOCIATION THAT REQUIRES DYNAMIC INFORMATION EXCHANGE, ESPECIALLY FOR ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE HEAVILY DATA LADEN SUCH AS FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND CITY GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENTS, LAW ENFORCEMENT, INSURANCE, FINANCIAL, MEDICAL AND LEGAL INDUSTRIES. "

I for one am not sure what all this would encompass, but I am sure they have a strategy. So I feel the potential client / customer base of Financial Intranet, Inc. reaches much further then I can imagine. Remember Jim this is only my opinion.

Jim & Bill: Perhaps the question of stock buy-back should be posed to Michael Sheppard. Considering their self-imposed priorities/timetables for NASDAQ listing & profitability, it should be a question with a straight answer. Multiple events will be required to significantly raise the stock's value - positive news, positive sales AND (I agree with Jim) reducing the float. A reverse split reduces the float, but usually beats the hell out of the stock. It's generally NOT the method associated with the deliberate and conservative approach shown so far by FNTN. Weighing FNTN's need to both gain AND retain a NASDAQ listing, a buy-back seems to be the only logical choice. So the question to MS is "ARE you considering a buy-back to reduce the float and by what means would you pay for it and over what period of time? He may not wish to answer these questions now, but I have to believe he already knows the answer.
Good question, Jim.
Anybody have any thoughts to the contrary?
