CC: 3Com <COMS.O> CEO sees Q4 as turning point NEW YORK, June 24 (Reuters) - 3Com Corp.'s fourth quarter ended in May marked a turning point after a difficult fiscal year, as sales stabilized, but sales growth in the current summer quarter will be "challenging," executives said. In a conference call with analysts late Wednesday Chairman and CEO Eric Benhamou said, "We are pleased to report that we have clearly turned the corner." 3Com CFO Chris Paisley, who was also on the call, cautioned that "Q1 sales growth will be a challenge", but noted that the summer quarter ending in August is typically "flattish" compared with the company's fiscal fourth quarter ending May.
