Thread,
I am a long (lurker) follower of COMS. I lost money on this dog (trying to be a pony now and hopefully will be a derby class soon) some time back. Since then I completely liquidated my position for an entry point.
Fortunetely I found some cash today and bought 10 LEAPS 2000, 25 strike. In line with most members of this thread, I thought this
cannot go worse than the current level and as Eric B is working on straightening their act for the past 2 Qs, things should start a turn around starting today.
It looks like time has come for COMS to move ahead to reach
mid 40s. Another possibility is that current alliance among network giants should give a boost to COMS either through buy out or a tight strategic understanding with a major player.
Let the happy days come back.
Only drawback in today's numbers is that their NIC, Modem product line
is flat (1% increase). This does not bode well as Palm Pilot is getting stiff competition from our Bill Gateopoly's CE based on PCs and NIC's getting marginalized by INTC's deep pocket.
Happy investing.
