Janko - Re: "I put my (long-term) money where my rating 13 is?"

My bank is a very small bank. Fortunately, I'm privaledged (spelling is just not part of me) to be able to work with a much bigger bank for a friend. I can think of no greater trust than someone giving you that responsibility (however foolish).

I assure you that I'm quickly and quietly moving to TA. I will never lose my FA hat, as I enjoy working out of my little office in my home and presenting folks with a group of stocks that beat 90% of the big boys. But, alas, that does not satisfy me.

I decided that I would rather get JT's returns and buy a new car every 3 months. Frankly, mine is 10 years old, but I don't enjoy spending any time in it anyway. The point being that I just enjoy the game. Fortunately, I've been involved with some folks that had enough confidence in me to tolerate the learning curve. I don't play golf; this is my hobby!

Slowly, everything is going to move to the short-term category. I bought INTC at $78; it didn't thrill me to see it at $65, no matter what FA score it got! DIS provided a respectable 7% return in 3 days; doesn't score sh*t in my FA system; should I have ignored it?

Mr. Market does not care about my FA scores. It doesn't care whether the stocks are up or down today. No, I've looked at this game long and hard, and until I can influence the direction, I'll take what the Market gives me. I got a B.S. degree in this subject by the amount of time I've spent.

If you can explain to me why WMT was in the low $20's a little over a year ago, and is where it is now, I'll have more confidence in the FA. The problem is that technology I'm using really sucks for what I'm doing. Hopefully, I'll be able to get that corrected over the next few months.

I say Ride the Wave! I'm using the concept of tight trailing stops. Everything I've read said to don't do it. But, at least this week, in what I consider to be a non-trending Market, it's working very nicely.

Thus sayth Berney BWDIK As I indicated to JT, I'll give him an argument when I can buy a porsche on today's winnings.
