To Zurdo and all who responded to my post, you are on the right track. Market share, or the loss thereof, is a much greater threat to the Insurers than are lawsuits.

To those who think that Medicare or private insurance coverage should make sense, I agree, but it would drive me crazy to expect it or explain it anymore.

They don't make sense. They often don't make sense medically or economically and they may change the rules in the middle of the game. Policies of coverage are patched together and sold to employers. No employer can even really know what he has bought until it goes into action, and employers tend to judge the quality of the plan by the number of complaints they get from their employees.

So switching plans or complaining to your employer is the most effective action.

If you are covered by the Government, God help you. The Government has figured out that the less they spend on senior health care this year, the less they will pay out in Social Security next year.
