Even in the case of so-called "unfair competition", I long ago decided that if some country wants to subsidize my consumption at the expense of their taxpayers, it is A-OK with me. Bring on the imports. As for your US/UN/Oil Industry conspiracy theory vis Iraq, I think you credit the industry with far more influence than they actually have, and your dismissal of the threat posed by that thug in Baghdad seems similarly off base.
