"You know it says he spoke Hebrew" Where? I know you and the messianics say he spoke Hebrew, but the Bible doesn't say He did. Joseph and Mary moved to Greek-speaking Egypt when Jesus was a Baby and didn't return to Judea until Jesus was in His teens. Being raised in Egypt means that Jesus definitely spoke Greek as a child. Furthermore, the Jewish community in Greek speaking Egypt had been used the Greek Septuagine Old Testament for over two hundred years and spoke little or no Hebrew. The Greek Septuagint was read in all the Synagogues in Egypt during Jesus's stay in Egypt. Jesus first heard the Scriptures in these Synagogues in the Greek language. Jesus played with his friends speaking the Greek language. Greek was the universal language during the days of Jesus. Greek was spoken in Europe, in Asia Minaor, in Galilee, in Judea , Egypt etc. This is probably why the Holy Spirit moved the Jewish Apostles to write the New Testament in Greek. It is infantile for you messianics to focus so much attention on the Hebrew language in America. It is nothing but a fad and a form of idolatry. There 's probably less than 1 percent of American Jews who can really read and speak the Old Testament Hebrew. The proper language to evangelize all people in America is English. If God ever calls you as a missionary to Israel, then it would be appropriate to speak and evangelize in the Hebrew language. Otherwise you are only playing silly meaningless games.
