CONTEST UPDATE !!

Hello Pat,

Been travelling, haven't been posting much. Thought I'd gloat a little re: our little contest. (I'm sure you'll do the same when NN runs up again !!)

After 20 days ...

PAT Bought NN at 26 1/8
Closed at: 24 11/16
Result: 5 % loss

Peppe Bought INTC at 66
Closed at 77 3/8
Result: 17 % gain

( What's a contest without a little gloating <vbg>)

Cheers,

Peppe

Nope - didn't miss it.
Has nothing to do with ATM.

Bay, 3Com, Packet Engines, and Cambrian demonstrating LAN based Gigabit ethernet and DWDM has nothing to do with WAN ATM.

Ciena Corp. and Cisco Systems signing an agreement to develop direct connections between Cisco routers and Ciena DWDM systems - based on Packet over SONET - has nothing to do with ATM. Plus signing an agreement to work on technology is quite different from delivering a product.

If you read the announcement that Z.O. posted and the report that you posted you'll see that they are quite different. Ethernet and PoS is quite different than carrier class ATM - you should know this. Try not to confuse the issues. Very sloppy Pat.
