dave, of course, the ease of starting new or old but shut down capacity doesn't affect the ability of pricing to increase, does it? weak paradigm. real weak.

btw, is stupid saying they believe korea is nearly out of inventory when they have tons? is stupid building lehi at the market top for dram?

or is that genius? i guess it depends if you are a total moron or not ;-)

Dave, Kessler's piece has to be one of the most disturbing pieces I've ever seen TSC run.

I'm not going to give you any names -- you can generate a list yourself...These stocks may halve again, but if that happens, buy more

and then in the very next paragraph:

if [DRAM] goes to $1.50 and then goes no lower, just close your eyes and grab what you can and the wait won't be long. Micron (MU:NYSE) isn't stupid. It knows its purchase of Texas Instrument's (TXN:NYSE) capacity will pay off down the road. It always does.

and then we get the little handy dandy disclaimer at the bottom:

Under no circumstances does the information in this column represent a recommendation to buy or sell stocks

Time out here.

It's not a recommendation to buy when you write These stocks may halve again, but if that happens, buy more and then right after you tell your readers you're not going to give "any names" you do in fact in the next paragraph mention Micron Technology and write just close your eyes and grab what you can?

And not only that, you have the audacity to say that the recent deal not only will pay off down the road, but will pay off because It always does?

Sorry, but that ain't too kosher.

Good trading,

Tom

Dave:
Been tied up with a bunch of projects, so forgive the tardy reply.
Loved your note. As you suggest, following the "advice" provided by Mr. Kessler might ensure your involvement with a company that has been wrapping its products in dollar bills before shipping, just as they "improve" their results and only ship $0.75 per chip. (g) Not to worry, as they can always do a "restructuring",......that is until the cash runs out.
Shall we bet on his conclusion that we are at a bottom? (heh, heh, heh). Supply always more important than demand in a commodity. In memory, both are ugly, but supply is off the graph.

Best, Earlie
