I checked out 2 Comp USA stores in Michigan. I left
the Novi store at 11:30 and counted 150 people in line.
When I got to the Detroit store there were 200 people
in line, with more coming in the parking lot as I left.
I didn't stick around because it was pretty obvious I
wasn't going to get one of the $98 computers.

All in all, it was very impressive, and I think Microsoft
intentionally played down the impact of Win98 so it would
beat expectations.
