Gosh, for a while there, I thought I had stumbled onto the wrong thread. There was actually civil discussion going on. Then, reality set in because "topstock" posted some more dissension. Sigh ...

John Chapman: I bit the bullet and downloaded the other component of WRQ's solution. A thingy called "Meter", used to measure/track network usage of applications.

Unfortunately, it didn't do anything for the Y2K portion's install. It still failed with the same error. Meter installed just hunkey dorey fine, and executes ... as far as I can tell. Not too sure what I'm supposed to do with a network tool on a single user machine.

Guess I'll have to call the boys at WRQ tomorrow and see how to circumvent the Y2K installation error. Boy, will I be surprised if they decide to send me a CD (NOT!).

The good news is that I executed the install of both components, just like isoman did, only I did it under Win95. Nothing nasty happened. It just won't complete the install of the Y2K component.

It's a good thing I don't get paid to do these evaluations, 'cuz whatever it is they'd pay me wouldn't be enough to put up with these trial evaluation hassles.

Regards,
