Re: Is the product moving through to end users now or are retailers
simply adding to inventory at what seem like good prices?

That's a good question and I think an appropriate answer
would be both.

I ordered extra due to the deal, but my marketing
experience tells me that the big boys will be reducing
retail pricing forcing the rest of the market to respond in
kind. My intent in ordering extra is to take advantage of
the time frame between these high retail prices and the
expected lower prices. With that in mind I wouldn't order
with a long time frame in mind.

IOM needs to reduce the price of their disks so that the
average user will not think twice or three times before
buying a 10 pk.

The conclusion that could be easily made is that huge
demand occurred, just lower the price a little and look
at the volumes, it's huge.

The prices of Zip disks will be coming down. I can't say
at what point in the business plan that it happens but
I suspect that we are starting to see what Dunn meant
when stating that he wanted IOM to be a 10 bil company.

Driving the prices lower by activating efficiencies is key
to making the purchase of Zip a given and the use of
disks are of little consequence.

I think it is both.....no dealer/s are going to order that much inventory to have sit on shelfs. I think you will have some of that, but if you notice that the ads comming out now are starting to reflect some of the price breaks. The dealers are passing some of the savings on to the consuer...if they continue the rebates, this could get real good, drives feed disks, disks feed drives,...and wait till the cpq. really hits. Ingram does not have all the models in yet. They are moving quite a few of the low end machines.
