<<Today, I observed that the market maker SWST seemed to have an unnatural appetite for AMZN stock. I could tell this cause he was frequently the only MM at the bid, and he absorbed a lot of shares without pulling>>

SWST is Southwest Securities out of Dallas. It's all over-the Texans are buying<G>.

Yikes!!!
SouthWest is the clearing house for Terra Nova, MB Trading and a whole host of brokers. I wonder if they've started buying AMZN to cover the shorts??

Already suffering from shell shock; the shorts will now have to suffer the indignity of brokers closing out their accounts and billing them for the cost of AMZN stock (at today's prices) needed to cover their positions.

I guess this is where they start sending "the boys" around to collect.
