Well, I'm taking a Continuing Studies Course at Stanford on How the Stock Market Works which started tonight. The instructor wanted us to pick one stock, short or long, and has a prize for whoevers does the best. Well, I figured what the hell, chances are that I won't win anyway, so what is a stock that is just beat to hell on the market cap, but has a possibility of a big multiple comeback by July 22nd. At first I picked something conservative, but then I figured what the hell, CMTR is at 7/32. It sure wouldn't take much to see a multiple or two out of them if anything goes right between now and then. Who knows, maybe the revenue is picking up, or someone does buy them, or they do close on some funding, hell, in the tight lab real estate market around here, the lease and tenant improvements in their building might make them worth being acquried by someone seeking lab space quickly,.....anything but go bankrupt and I have a chance. The wonders of penny stocks. Sure would love to see this one recover. There are products with untapped markets here, that have some potential, especially at this market cap.

OTS: I also learned the hard way not to blindly go with a "recommended" stock. For a while I had about a dozen sweat shops calling me with recommendations if only I'd commit to a minimum investment, usually, around $10K. Everything from aviation holding companies in Russia to Canadian semiprecious gemstones. Some wanted me to provide credit card or social security numbers over the phone during the initial contact call. Got educated really fast!
