Unbelievable. What prices are we talking about for the additional 200MM shares? At market?

Andeveron,

The extra 200MM shares are authorized, but not issued, so they have no value. As AMZN has about 50MM shares currently issued, that leaves 250MM authorized shares in treasury (the original 100MM plus 200MM more, less 50MM issued), for uses such as (1) stock options, (2) splits and (3) acquisitions. I believe about 500,000 such shares were used for one of the recent acquisitions, but I may be mistaken.
