Well Steve, you have been following AMD/Cyrix and they are losing money big time. Right? Do you see any indication they want out of this mess? If they continue to lose money maybe they will stop producing chips that compete against Intel? AMD for instance doesn't have any cash laying around and the lenders must be starting to get concerned.

Let's hypothetically say Amd and CYrix and IDTI all get out of the business (very unlikely, but anyway).. What happens, Intel's margins shoot way the hell up and guess what.. someone else (or NSM, AMD, etc.) start making Intel compatible CPUs again. Intel is stuck with competition whether they like it or not.
