Paul:

Thanks for the NOVL short-interest update. Interesting, as the shorts don't appear to want to "kill" the stock for some reason. Must be they are starting to respect the Dr's ability to appreciate the price of NOVL as we get into the Netware 5.0 release date timeframe.

<<How is it there are still 29.5 million shares of Microsoft short as of 6/24? Didn't these guys get
squeezed by a 20 point run-up in the last week? Could there be something wrong with the Nasdaq
statistics? >>

After looking at IBD's MSFT share float, I see that its around 2.48 billion, so the current 29.5 million "short interest" is about 1% of float, which is modest wouldn't you think?

BTW, have you looked at the short interest on AMZN? Geez, apparently its 2.6 million greater than the 6 mil share float. Talk about Russian roullete, and a bloody chase to cover! Go to this link. IOM did this a few years back, but AMZN's looks much, much more like a rocket (especially with thin float), as the price is up 1000%+ in terms of 52-week low to high. Even this a.m. AMZN bid is gapped to 102, from a 99 13/16 close ;)

Paul,

The short interest reported in today's WSJ is through 6-15. Missing most of MSFT's runup.

Doubt it would have made much difference anyway.
