Mark; How are you friend? I hope you have been well. I have enjoyed your defense of liberty. It seems clear to me that some here talk about it but would love to limit it if they could. A few words on liberty from the scripture. Luk 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, This is still Yeshua's main ministry. Rom 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. There is true freedom in being a child of God. Bondage results when we reject him. Jam 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. I have noticed that without Yeshua it is sometimes difficult to do what is right. Before I met the Lord I was in bondage to many sins. The worst for my life was drug addiction (I smoked large amounts of dope). I suffered from many other sins that I won't take time to confess here. Once I met the Savior, I found myself at Liberty to do what is right. To feel compassion that I had been unable to feel. To love my wife more. Many people see God as an imposition. I myself know that as my designer he knows best. The liberty he gives is a freedom to follow these precepts and improve my life rather than to resist them. As James said to use my Liberty as a way to do good. Not the bondage of always thinking of myself first. 1Pe 2:16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God. Does any of this make sense to you? In Yeshua's love for you - DLL
