TT, Re: "Every time Michael Dell just shows his face on TV, DELL stock jumps a point.
Every time he speaks out, the stock goes up 5 points. Why can't Barrett do the
same thing? Intel is a lot more profitable, and that should be easier for Barrett to
talk about Intel.

For one thing, Dell has had outstanding sequential increases every quarter, in both revenues and earnings, going back six quarters (range given in SI Profile). Intel can't say this right now. Dell record (spreadsheet turns into a list):

Looks like Dell is also buying back their own shares.

At the same time, I have to say that Michael Dell is one of the most charismatic, positive, confident and inspirational company leaders I have ever observed (almost a cheerleader?). My observation of Intel over the years is that they do not send their leaders forth acting in this manner. Should they, if warranted? I don't know, but I guess the company culture says no.
