An example of corporate misleading statements AKA lies: <<Earlier, Coca-Cola Chief Executive Douglas Ivester said the company currently has 2 percent of the world soft drink market. He set a goal of 4 percent. Chestnut said Coca-Cola would achieve higher market share by making the product widely available on a global basis at an affordable price. ''Do consumers around the world have the ability to purchase our products? Most people around the world have to work two minutes to buy a Coke,'' he said. The executives spoke at a meeting with around 400 beverage analysts in Atlanta. >> Taking into account that Indians, Chinese, Pakistanies, Russians + Indoneseans make up more than 1/2 "people around the world", and that they have to work an hour or more to buy a can - how is this lie possible? My guess, he took average global income per capita, and conveniently forgot that I, for example, am not going to buy three cases of Coke every day in order to distribute it (for free) to "people around the world". No way, Douglas Ivester!
