I think IDTI will eventually move up, even on no news. I think the MMs have beaten down the sector to buy it up, and that will be followed by their driving it up to make their money. We'll see.....

Maybe I am being a bit harsh on IDTI, but sugar coating things doesn't help either. IDTI is trying to get their production of the WC 2 into volume by the Christmas season. They hope to produce most parts at 266 Mhz rather than the odd-ball 240 Mhz speed grade. Production out of IBM will lag IDT's by enough to make delivery during the Christmas season harder to meet - about 4-6 weeks delayed. I heard today that IDT is running production volumes of wafers in Oregon but they would not say how many or that yields are other than they look to be on tract with the plan. I don't know how to value that information given past performance.

I know that IDT is working hard to get a major OEM agreement in place. So far there is no indication whether that effort will be a success.

The road-map includes aggressive plans for coming out with 0.25 micron WC 2 parts this fall. They have pilot 300 Mhz WC 2 parts now. The parts coming out of IBM will be at sub 0.25 (0.24) micron and will be at 266 Mhz as the lowest speed grade. The plan is to have the majority at 300 Mhz by the end of the year.

The earnings report is only a few weeks away. I am sure that Perham would love to have something firm to announce during that time. I am not getting my hopes up at this point that they will announce a major OEM agreement. That would certainly give greater assurance to the market and help boost the stock price. But any major OEM will require some assurance that IDT can meet speed grade and volume requirements. Maybe IBM will help clinch that at this early stage of the ramp; hard to figure.
