Coming in the middle of the night will be true for some, but on the other side of the earth, it will be the middle of the day.

Just a little of the imaginative mind running wild here. You say you believe that Jesus will come back in the night again. Remember, in the catching up HE is not saying HE is around. At the catching up with people in the fields looking around and wondering where so in so went, there is not a slight hint of the presence of Jesus. However, there is plain english, taken from the Hebrew, specifically and in exact sentense structure the statements that at a certain time man knows not some believers will be taken out of the field, for instance, where many are working, and other workers will see them leave. The scripture does NOT say that Jesus will hover above the field in plain sight calling them forth. However, when HE touches with HIS feet in the very garden HE was picked up in the middle of the night by madmen, and was promptly killed, it will be daylight I believe in Jerusalem, on the other side of the earth, where those who are here will be sound asleep indeed. Interesting that you should mention that.
